Skinner Lane
Running between the Timber Yard development and the Village Public house is Skinner Lane which goes from Hurst Street to Pershore Street. Skinner Lane is the only “lane” in an area dominated by “streets”. At one time this continued across Pershore Street and the markets site, in fact over there it split into two to create Skinner Street. Skinner Lane is very narrow, befitting the “Lane” in the title and it matches Claybrook Street admirably.

Apart from car parks and now a building site, Skinner Lane has little to recommend it (apart from the pub). However we do have family recollections of someone whose family lived here.
